Emission levels as low as wood:
AsWood™ adhesives for interior wood applications
Dynea introduces the new AsWood™ low emission adhesive systems for form bending and solid wood lamination as well as for flooring and parquet applications. With Dynea’s AsWood solutions producers can manufacture products with emission levels equivalent to those found in natural wood.
AsWood adhesive solutions for interior wood applications can be used in the same way as traditional amino systems; they provide excellent cure speed and bond strength as well as glued products with very high moisture resistance. Consequently using Dynea’s AsWood solutions will not compromise the user’s production speed and reject rates.
“Dynea’s product development team for Interior Wood Solutions, led by Dr. Astrid Pedersen, has been able to maintain all the good properties of an amino system while eliminating the emissions,” Dynea’s Application Manager for Interior Wood Solutions Mr Thomas Scharrer explains.
“By using AsWood solutions the producer can meet current as well as projected emission requirements globally,” says Mr Sigve Sporstøl, Executive Vice President, Dynea Global Market Applications. “With emissions at the same low background level as from natural wood, AsWood is the ideal adhesive solution for wood based products used in places where people are particularly sensitive to indoor air quality, such as kindergartens, schools, hospitals, homes, offices and automobile interiors.”
